An Image Scenario Workshop was conducted under the GGS Project joint research on Disaster Education on August 11, 2017 at the Clock Tower in Sainbu Village in Lalitpur Metropolitan City. A total of 13 students and nine teachers participated in the workshop. The students and teachers were divided into four groups. They were then asked to recall their experience of the 2015 Gorkha Earthquake and prepare an essay (both students and teachers) or a drawing (students only) about what happened from the moment the earthquake hit their area up to three days (Group 1); from three days to one month (Group 2); from one month to six months (Group 3); and from six months to one year (Group 4). Representatives from each of the four groups presented their essay or drawing to all the participants and organizers.
Professors and graduate students from the Center for Disaster Studies (CDS) of Tribhuvan University and staff of the National Society for Earthquake Technology – Nepal (NSET) facilitated the workshop under the guidance of Prof. Rajib Shaw, the leader of the joint research team on Disaster Education.
